The Long Winter Farm is one half of our family’s project to build a self sufficient farm (the other half being Fox Falls Farm).
Ed jr(the primary author) lives on The Long Winter Farm with his wife (Yuriko) and their two daughters (Emmy and Sera).
Ed Sr and Vicky live on Fox Falls Farm.
Between us we are growing grains for food (oats, buckwheat) and for oil (sunflower, canola). We are also raising cows, sheep, horses, goats, pigs and chickens.
